Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Buying Tickets & Delivery

Are tickets guaranteed?

1BoxOffice collaborates with a network of trusted ticket specialists to provide a reliable service. While we facilitate a secure online marketplace, we do not sell the tickets directly and are not responsible for any issues related to the tickets sold through our platform.

However, we offer a 150% Money Back Guarantee: In the extremely rare event that you do not receive the tickets you ordered in time for the match from the seller, we will refund 100% of your payment. Additionally, we will provide you with a credit note worth 50% of your original purchase amount to be used towards another match (T&C's apply).

I have just purchased a ticket online, what am I supposed to receive and what will happen next?

In the next few minutes, you will receive an automated email confirming that we have received your order details. If required for Season Card or Paper ticket types, you will receive another email with all the information needed to ensure the delivery of your tickets. Once the delivery details are confirmed, we will begin processing your tickets accordingly.

Every order is handled promptly. If you have any questions or inquiries, either before or after placing your order, we are more than happy to assist you.

The event is today, can I still order tickets to the match?

Yes, it is still possible to purchase tickets the day before or even on the same day as the match! All tickets available for purchase on our platform will be delivered according to the ticket type listed.

Most tickets are sent electronically via email, meaning there is no need for physical delivery unless the listing specifies a Season Card or Paper Ticket. In those cases, our team will arrange a convenient collection point near the event venue.

Our team will be in touch at every stage to guarantee that you receive your tickets on time before the event.

How do I get my tickets?

PDF and Mobile Tickets are typically delivered to your registered email address 24-48 hours before the event.

Paper Tickets are generally dispatched 3-5 days before the event. You will be notified via email once they've been sent, along with a tracking number to monitor delivery progress. For UK deliveries, you can expect the tickets to arrive the next day after receiving the dispatch notification.

Season Cards will be delivered to your hotel address in the event city 24 hours before the event. After the event, these must be returned to the hotel's reception for collection. All necessary information regarding the use and return of Season Cards will be included in the delivery envelope, along with an emergency contact number for any additional assistance.

Do you only deliver Season Cards & Paper tickets to hotels or can I give you my residential address?

Depending on the type of ticket you have purchased, we can deliver to any address. However, if your tickets are in the form of a Season Card, we will only deliver to a hotel address in the event city, as the Season Card must be collected from you after the game. Alternatively, we can arrange a meeting/collection point at the venue on the day of the event.

If you don't have your hotel details yet, you can still place your order and submit the hotel information at a later stage. To ensure delivery, this must be done at least 2 working days before the event date. If submitted after this deadline, we may arrange a venue pick-up for your tickets.

Our customer service team will stay in touch with you to ensure the safe delivery of your tickets.

Should I inform the hotel if I have purchased a Season Card or Paper ticket?

Yes, it's important to always inform the hotel reception or concierge desk that you are expecting a delivery. Some hotels may refuse to accept packages for guests not registered under their system. To avoid any issues, please ensure that the name you provided to us matches the name under which you reserved your hotel room.

What if I'm not staying in a hotel or staying outside of the event city, if I have purchased a Season Card or Paper ticket?

In most cases, we will arrange a central pick-up point for customers who do not have a hotel reservation or whose hotel is located outside of the event city. If a venue pick-up is necessary, you will receive the full pick-up details via email along with an emergency contact number.

When we mention "pick-up at the venue" or "venue collection," please note that you will still need to follow the exact instructions we provide, including the specific location and time for collection. These details will be communicated to you via email or over the phone.

Can I buy tickets that are personalised with someone else's name on them?

Yes, 1BoxOffice allows third-party sellers, including individuals, to list tickets on our platform. In some cases, tickets may have the original purchaser's name printed on them. Rest assured, these tickets are still valid and can be used for entry.

Ticket Seating Location & Pricing

Where is the Best Place to Sit in the Stadium?

Stadium seating is typically divided into two main areas - Longside and Shortside. Each offers a different experience depending on your preference:

  • Longside: These seats run along the length of the pitch and provide a better overall view of the game, allowing you to see both goals clearly. Due to the superior visibility, tickets here are generally more expensive.
  • Shortside: These seats are located behind the goals. While the view of the field may be less comprehensive, the short side is known for a more exciting atmosphere, especially during goal-scoring moments. These sections are typically the most energetic and filled with passionate fans.
Choosing Upper or Lower Stands

Once you've decided between the long or short side, the next choice is whether to sit in the upper or lower stands:

  • Upper Stand: Typically, these seats offer a wider view of the game, but from a higher perspective.
  • Lower Stand: These seats get you closer to the action, but your view may be limited to one side of the field.

In terms of pricing, seats on the Longside Lower are generally the most expensive, while the Upper Shortside tends to be the most affordable.

For the ultimate experience, you may want to consider VIP hospitality tickets. These seats not only provide some of the best visibility in the stadium, but they also come with added luxuries. VIP tickets are often located between the upper and lower sections on the long side, but this varies by stadium.

VIP tickets may also include access to a private lounge where you can enjoy refreshments before, during, and after the game. VIP packages on 1BoxOffice will detail exactly what's included in the ticket price.

Can you guarantee that we will sit together?

Unless stated otherwise in the ticket listing, we are committed to seating you at least in pairs. If the listing specifies that more than two seats will be seated together, then your tickets will be grouped as indicated.

For groups of three or more, we will do our best to seat you together, but this is not guaranteed unless specified in the ticket option you purchased. Please note that in some stadiums, such as Barcelona's Camp Nou and Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabéu, “seating together” may include seats that are diagonal or perpendicular to each other.

Here's a breakdown of seating arrangements:

  • Single Seats: Seats will not be adjacent.
  • Up to 2 Together: A maximum of 2 seats will be next to each other. If an odd number is purchased, one person may be seated separately.
  • Up to 3 Together: A maximum of 3 seats will be next to each other.
  • Up to 4 Together: A maximum of 4 seats will be next to each other.
  • All Seats Together: All seats will be grouped together.
  • Connecting Seats: Seats may be connected in pairs, which could include adjacent placement, diagonal alignment, or with other seats or aisles in between.

If you have specific seating requirements, please contact our customer service via email. Our representatives will be happy to assist you in finding the right tickets to meet your needs.

Where exactly will I sit?

The ticket categories we can offer are specified in each event page. You should use our seating map to help guide you to the area where your tickets will be located. We give as much information as we have. We will always supply the best available tickets, but cannot give any specific indication or guarantee about the exact seat location. Please remember that most of the events we sell tickets to are sold out or are member-only.

Why are ticket prices higher than their face value (the price printed on the ticket)?

1BoxOffice operates within the secondary ticket market, where ticket availability and pricing are influenced by supply and demand. As a result, for high-profile or sold-out events, ticket prices are often significantly higher than their face value (original price).

Our prices reflect several factors, including:

  • Market Demand: In popular or high-demand events, ticket prices are driven by the market value, which can exceed the original face value.
  • Handling Fees: We add a modest handling fee to cover costs such as maintaining and updating our multilingual website, supporting our network of representatives and trusted sellers, and providing excellent customer service.

We strive to keep our prices competitive while offering a wide range of tickets and top-notch service. Ticket availability and prices are set by approved ticket specialists in the secondary market, who compete to provide a diverse selection. The face value of a ticket is the price printed on the ticket or the original purchase price in the primary market. However, the selling price on 1BoxOffice reflects the current market value, which can vary based on demand.

Are tickets for home or away supporters?

All tickets listed for an event are typically for the home team sections unless specifically stated otherwise. If tickets are listed as "Behind the Goal" or "Longside," they are generally located in the home team sections.

Tickets for visiting team supporters are usually described clearly, such as "Visitors Section," "Liverpool Section," or "Away Seats." If you are purchasing tickets for an away team, ensure they are explicitly labelled as such.

1BoxOffice reserves the right to cancel an order if it appears that the buyer is an away team supporter attempting to purchase tickets intended for home team supporters only. In such cases, the buyer may have to purchase tickets in the correct fan area or a penalty fine could be applied.

Please note: These specifications do not apply to matches played at neutral venues, such as the Champions League Final, Europa League Final, FA Cup Final, League Cup Final, or World Cup events. For these matches, sellers typically indicate the allocation end. If no specific information is provided, assume the seats could be located at either end of the stadium.

Season Card Ticket Infomation

What are Season Cards?

Season Cards are provided by the football club as an alternative to a full season ticket. Unlike a season ticket, which grants access to all home and/or away games throughout the season, a Season Card allows fans to purchase tickets for specific matches.

When you order a ticket listed as a Season Card on 1BoxOffice, you are essentially using the seller's Season Card for the game you have paid for. The Season Card will be sent to you before the match, and you are required to return it to the seller after attending the game.

If you have any further questions or need assistance, please contact the 1BoxOffice team.

I have received Season Cards for my event, what should I do?

If you have received a Season Card or Membership card, you will need to use it to scan at the gate of the stadium for entry. Before receiving the electronic card, a member of our team will contact you with instructions on how to use the card and the process for its safe return.

If you need any additional assistance or have questions about your Season Card, please contact the 1BoxOffice team. We're here to help!

The Season Cards I have received have different names on them, what does this mean?

The names on the Season Cards reflect those of the original owners. For events that are strictly members-only, we provide membership cards from members who have chosen not to attend. These cards are not in your name, and you are required to return them after the game.

Full instructions on the use and return of these cards will be included in the delivery envelope and sent to you by email before the event. If you have any questions, please contact the 1BoxOffice team for assistance.

How do I find my seat location if I have received members' season cards?

Each Season Card should have your seat location printed on it. If the seat location is not printed on the card, you will find the seat details on a separate sheet of paper included in your delivery envelope.

If you need further assistance or have any questions, please contact the 1BoxOffice team. We're here to help!

Cancellations, Exchanges and Refunds

Can I cancel or exchange my tickets after placing an order?

Unfortunately, all sales are final. Once a ticket has been purchased, no refunds or exchanges can be offered.

If you need to, we can re-list your tickets on 1BoxOffice for resale, but we cannot guarantee that they will be sold. As per our terms and conditions, we do not offer refunds or exchanges for any reason.

What happens if an event is postponed or cancelled?

On rare occasions, an event may be postponed or cancelled. While we will make every effort to inform you promptly, it is your responsibility to verify the event's new date or time with the venue or local media.

If an event is rescheduled, your tickets will usually be valid for the new date, and refunds will not be issued for rescheduled events.

If an event is cancelled altogether, we will request a refund from the event organisers. Please note that refunds for football matches may not be available. If a refund is offered by the organisers, you must return the original tickets to us via a secure and traceable courier service within the time frame provided. Refunds will be limited to the original face value of the ticket, as the service fees for obtaining the tickets from 1BoxOffice will not be refunded.
