AC Milan controlled the whole half and created many chances, but they had to settle for a one goal advantage going to the half break.
In the second half, AC Milan remained in control and were looking to add a second goal which will get them ahead on aggregate.
However, their world was flipped when Theo Hernandez got sent off in the 51st minute when he received a second yellow card for diving.
After AC Milan went down to 10 men, Feyenoord started attacking, and they managed to get back level in the match when Julian Carranza scored in the 71st minute.
AC Milan tried their best to win the game and draw the tie on aggregate but failed to do so, and Feyenoord knocked out the Rosseseri.
The result of this tie was surprising, as AC Milan were the heavy favorites to go through, however it was Feyenoord who did it.
This is the first time Feyenoord reached the round of 16 in the UCL since the 2000-2001 season. This is undoubtedly a huge achievement for the players.
