AC Milan 3-1 AS Roma: Rossoneri Advance to Coppa Italia Semi-final

In a huge quarter-final match between AC Milan and AS Roma, the Rossoneri managed to beat the Giallorossi 3-1 in a highly contested match between two of the biggest Italian teams. Tammy Ibrahim netted twice, and Joao Felix marked his debut with a goal, in a great win for AC Milan.

With this victory, AC Milan advanced to the semi-final of the Coppa Italia, hoping to reach the final and win the prestigious trophy.

First Half: AC Milan Gets a Two Goals Advantage

The match started with AC Milan pushing for the early advantage, and they eventually managed to break in and opened the scoring in the 16th minute with a header from English striker Tammy Abraham, after a pinpoint cross from Theo Hernandez.

The Englishman doubled his tally with another goal in the 42nd minute, also assisted by Hernandez. AC Milan went to the second half with a 2-0 lead.

Second Half: Roma Tries to Fight Back but Fails

In the second half, Roma put their foot on the gas and made substitutions to try to make a comeback, and their efforts were rewarded as Roma got one back in the 54th minute with a shot from close-range.

However, despite closing the gap to just one goal, AS Roma couldn’t get another goal, and in the 72nd minute, Joao Felix killed the game, scoring the 3rd goal on his debut after coming on from the bench, to seal the match for Milan in a 3-1 win.

Who Will AC Milan Face in the Coppa Italia Semi-Final?

In the semi-final, AC Milan will face the winner of the Inter Milan vs Lazio game, setting up a potential Milan derby in the semi-final if Inter Milan manages to win against Lazio on the 25th of February.
