Celta Vigo 1-2 Real Madrid: Mbappe and Vinicius lead Real Madrid to a win as the unbeaten streak goes on

Real Madrid continued their unbeaten run in the La Liga season with a 2-1 victory over Celta Vigo with goals from Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior. 20 minutes in, the French star put his team ahead, but Celta was quick to retaliate and equalized through Williot Swedberg after the break. However, Carlo Ancelotti’s men did not take time to reply, with Vinicius scoring the all-important goal to give the visitors the much-needed win.

The match began on the nervous side for Madrid as Celta had two clear opportunities in the first half an hour to take the lead. Courtois saved his team time and again, denying Williot Swedberg twice in the match. Celta tried to put pressure on Real Madrid from the beginning of the match, but it was Mbappe who opened the score in the 20th minute. His clinical finish was after a fine Madrid breakaway, and this put Los Blancos in a better standing.

Celta Vigo’s pressure was rewarded in the early part of the second half, Swedberg finally scored a goal to make the equalizer, and the home fans went wild. The equalizer appeared to rattle Madrid but Luka Modric, who came from the bench, gave back serenity to the team. Modric came on after only 5 minutes and made an outstanding pass to Vinicius, who confidently put the ball past the Celta goalkeeper to level for Madrid.

Celta Vigo sought an equalizer in the last minute of the match through the appearances of Anastasios Douvikas but his shot went off target, thus Madrid clinched a victory. Carlo Ancelotti’s side will have their next matches against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League and against Barcelona in the famous El Clasico.
