Claudio Ranieri Returns to AS Roma After a Poor Serie A Start for the Rossoneri

Italian Serie A side AS Roma have now confirmed Claudio Ranieri as their new head coach in a bid to try to improve their form after a very poor start in the 2024/25 season that has only seen the team manage three wins. Roma fans are content with this appointment and view the return of Ranieri as an opportunity to steady the ship and get the team out of this early season malaise. Now with Roma and Serie A tickets available at 1BoxOffice at the best prices ever, Roma fans are eager to see the squad perform under Ranieri in a bid to get a turnaround.

This is the third time that Ranieri is joining Roma and with him comes a renewed fighting spirit of the manager. Ranieri is most famous for the incredible 2015/16 Premier League title with Leicester City, and he also has experience with Chelsea and Serie A. He left Roma for the first time during the summer of 2018 but then rejoined the team on a short spell in the first half of the 2018-19 season. But now, at 73, he returns to Rome with significant leadership and tactical experience back in tow.

Ranieri comes in after the club fired Ivan Juric after he failed to deliver positive results for the team managing only 12 matches. He signed in September to stake his claim after Daniele De Rossi, who also replaced Jose Mourinho during the same year. Nonetheless, Juric could not build on it as the Serie A side’s recent UEFA Europa League campaign was also poor – one win in four games – the only away triumph coming in the form of a 1-0 win against Dynamo Kyiv, but were battered by both Elfsborg and Union SG.

His experiences with the league and AS Roma are a big boon. In recent seasons, he led Cagliari in the 2023/24 season where the team only just escaped relegation by a point. Being a veteran of Italian Serie A, many Roma fans expect him to bring order to the team and help them raise their game to a new level. Roma fans are hoping that Ranieri can help Roma find its way back to form, and with 1BoxOffice, they have the perfect opportunity to purchase Roma tickets and Serie A tickets to watch the process unfold live.
