Leroy Sané Set to Leave Bayern Munich – Which Club Will He Join Next?

Leroy Sane’s contract with Bayern Munich is set to expire this Summer, with no signs of a potential renewal in the air, as Bayern Munich are reportedly not interested in resigning him.

The 29-year-old German winger has a concrete interest from many clubs in both England and Germany.

Sane didn’t perform well in his last few seasons at Bayern, but many clubs will be interested to sign him and try to help him re-find his Manchester City form.

Where will Sane play next season? We take a more in-depth look at the potential destinations of the winger.

Why Are Bayern Munich Not Interested in Renewing Leroy Sane?

It’s a known fact that Leroy Sane didn’t live up to the hype surrounding him when he signed for the club, and his performances have been disappointing, especially in recent seasons.

There might have been many reasons for that, like Sane not having the drive to perform, the issues that he faced at Bayern, and his general attitude.

Bayern Munich are reportedly fed up with his poor performances and are not going to re-sign him unless he reduces his wage significantly, as he’s not an important part of Kompany’s project.

Leroy Sane earns a reported 300k Euro per week, a huge wage compared to his recent performances and contributions.

Will Leroy Sane Go Back to England?

It’s known that Leroy Sane had his best performances under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, as the player performed amazingly and was one of the most sought-after wingers in Europe.

Many clubs might be interested in getting the winger back to England, most notably Arsenal, with Mikel Arteta previously working with Sane at Manchester City, and the Gunners need for offensive reinforcements.

Another possible destination might be clubs that are looking to compete in England, like Spurs, Aston Villa, or Fulham.

It remains to be seen if Leroy Sane will be offered a chance to play in England again, and whether he will return to his form there.

Will Leroy Sane Stay in Germany?

Leroy Sane might opt to stay in the Bundesliga, as many clubs in the Bundesliga might be interested in retaining his services.

Clubs like Wolfsburg, RB Leipzig, and Dortmund might be interested in adding the winger to their ranks.

However, clubs are wary of his poor performances with Bayern Munich, which might make them hesitant to sign him, in addition to his high wage demands.

Staying with Bayern Munich might also be an option, but he will have to reduce his salary significantly if he wants to stay with the Bavarian club.

Are There Any Other Possible Destinations for Leroy Sane?

Despite Premier League and Bundesliga being the most likely possible destinations for the German winger, he still might have other options.

One of the main other options might be La Liga, as many clubs there might use a flashy winger like Leroy Sane.

Clubs in Ligue 1 might also be interested, as a free agent signing will attract many French clubs. However, salary remains an issue for Ligue 1 clubs.

Another option might be the Saudi Pro League, as many clubs there are looking to boost their reputation and fight for the Asian Champions League, and Sane would be undoubtedly a huge boost.

Leroy Sane might also move to the MLS, as Americans are hoping to increase the reputation of their League before the World Cup 2026.

The German international is expected to have many options available, and more offers might come in once his contract expires.
