Sporting CP Confirm Manchester United’s interest in Ruben Amorim

The Red Devils have officially declared their intention to sign Sporting CP’s manager Ruben Amorim and the Old Trafford side has offered to meet the €10m release fee the Portuguese side is demanding for the manager's services. The news comes only days after United decided to sack Erik ten Hag due to a 2-1 loss to West Ham United, and that marked their worst Premier League start ever. Former United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy has been named interim manager and will take the team to their Carabao Cup match against Leicester City on Wednesday.

The latest statement from Sporting CP confirmed that United has indeed shown intentions to go further and meet the release clause of the manager. “Manchester United FC showed intentions to make Ruben Amorim their manager,” Sporting said. “The board of directors of Sporting SAD appealed to the terms of the employment contract in force between the company and the coach indicating the respective termination clause which is €10 million.”

Sporting has been the most successful team in Portugal since 2020 after the young and highly rated manager, Amorim, took over the team. In his time at the club, he won two Liga Portugal titles, including the first title in 19 years for the team. His strategic thinking and successful record have made him a target for some of the premier European clubs like Liverpool.

This potential appointment has excited Manchester United fans in a new way like never before. The club is currently 14th in the Premier League and is doing poorly in the UEFA Europa League where it is placed 21st out of 36 after three draws, and the prospect of Amorim coming is a boost for United fans. United fans are hoping to watch a team with a solid tactical plan and style.

Every fan of the Red Devils will no doubt be looking forward to the Chelsea match at Old Trafford on Sunday. Manchester United tickets, particularly during the match against Chelsea, are likely to be in high demand as the fans wait for the new tactics a new manager is likely to bring. For fans interested in watching this wonderful match live, they will have to buy Manchester United vs Chelsea tickets as early as possible. Do not let this opportunity pass by and watch United play their best football and try to stage a turnaround with new management.
